A. What is Search-n-Mark™ (Go Top)
- A "floating" toolbar with varying degrees of opacity. You can even make it nearly-invisible if you want. It'll sit there, in "stealth mode" waiting for you to mouseover it and put it to work.
- A super search tool - you can select, store and rearrange your favorite shopping, research, word lookup and search engine sites for continual lookup with instant results shown in tabbed folders within a single window.
- A mega bookmarking tool with 160 multi-colored prime categories which are drag-and-dropped and arranged anywhere you'd like, and also does the following:
- Imports major browser bookmarks.
- Allows for drag-and-drop of the currently-visited URL.
- Permits easy collection of URL's to be drag-and-dropped later; e.g. - you're visiting different car sites to be organized more easily...later.
- Allows single click and storage - without drag-and-drop - to a "Read Later" colored/prime table cell for later reading and deleting or drag and drop to a "Best of the Best" category.
- Permits password protection of many of your private prime categories.
- Allows different views such as toolbar view, bookmark view and staging view.
- Exports the current instance of bookmarks and synchronizes them to your free FriendMeld.com website.
- Permits access to those stored bookmarks from any computer in the world.
- Permits Undo and Redo of any single grid160 transaction (coming Q3, 2009). This means deletions can be recovered and messy moves undone.
A. How do I setup SuperSearch? (Go Top)
- Click on the hardwired SEO grid folder.
- Notice it has four (4) subfolders:
- Search (Search Engine sites)
- Shop (Shopping Sites)
- Wiki (Word Lookup Sites)
- Social (Social Sites)
- Set up your favorite Search Engines, in sequence:
- Open your browser and surf to your 1st favorite Search Engine (Google, Yahoo, Ask.com, Windows Live or more).
- In the search window, type "TEST", all upper case, no quotes.
- Conduct the search.
- Drag-and-Drop the results using Drag 1 button, to the SEO>Search Engines folder. (These folders will open for you automatically)
- Continue this process until you have setup all your favorite Search Sites. NOTE: You can add or delete these entries at any time.
- Continue Step 3 above for all of your Shopping, Wiki and Social Sites by entering "TEST" into each one of their search bars and drag-and-dropping the URL results to the appropriate folder.
A. What are Tags and how do they work? (Go Top)
- Tags are META elements; i.e. - they are short bits of information that help describe more information.
- Online bookmarking sites use them to perform quick searches on your listed URL's. They are necessary for online bookmarking sites because...they are really the only way you can organized your bookmarks...online. In lists! Deep, lengthy, hard to wrap your head around, tree lists! SNM don't do that!
- SNM, in keeping with the spirit of pleasing as many users possible without detracting from its mission - simplicity at the pointer - gives you the ability to enter tags now. Eventually (Q3, 2009), you will be able to enter tag text into the search bar and get an instant list, meaning, of course, the best of both worlds.
A. What do "Social Shop Wiki Search" mean above the search bar? (Go Top)
- Social - Click it, it turns red and indicates the search will be of all of your social site URLs entered into the "Social" folder of the SEO prime folder.
- Shop- Click it, it turns red and indicates the search will be of all of your shopping site URLs entered into the "Shop" folder of the SEO prime folder
- Wiki- Click it, it turns red and indicates the search will be of all of your Wiki site URLs entered into the "Wiki" folder of the SEO prime folder
- Search- Click this, it turns red and indicates the search will be of all of your search site URLs entered into the "Search" folder of the SEO prime folder
A. What does "Exact" mean above the search bar? (Go Top)
- Click "Exact" and it automatically places double quotes (" ") around your search text.
- Double quotes means your search will look for the exact words (not case sensitive) in your search.
- This is very useful in narrowing down your search to the expected results.
A. What does "Single" mean above the search bar? (Go Top)
- This permits you to conduct a single search with the first Search Engine you originally installed within the "Search" folder of the SEO prime folder.
- Most likely, this will be Google unless you have a different favorite.
- Use this to conduct a single tabbed search in which the results will not be as deep and rich but sufficient to give you a quick answer.
A. What does "Go" mean above the search bar? (Go Top)
- "Go" is one of two (2) ways to begin the search process.
- The other, is to click the right arrow just to the right end of the search bar.
